What People Are Saying

Marco Silveira, Wellness Coordinator, Estates at Carpenters

EPIC Studios

I have had the pleasure of working with Ms. Paula Blackwelder for the past few years at the Epic Center, previously known as Amandas Academy of Dance, and have enjoyed every minute of it.

With a big smile on her face, she always encourages our students to do their very best. Every student who walks out of her classroom walks out with higher self confidence, determination, and kindness. She is dedicated to her craft and her love of teaching and encouraging others.

Paula is an inspiration to anyone who comes in contact with her. She is nothing but positive, professional, and enthusiastic. She speaks eloquently in any and every setting. She brings light and glitter with her everywhere she goes!

Students, parent and staff adore her!

Your performance made the evening! The students talked about it for weeks. The professionalism your team exhibited was top notch! I appreciate and value the amount of time you took coming out and analyzing the school to find and assess the optimal area for your presentation.
The presentation before your performance was outstanding. I feel you really listened to what our needs as a school were and implemented them into your motivational speech. You were able to tie in beautifully the correlation of the challenges the students face with the challenges you encountered in regards to the training needed to master the circus arts as a performer. The performance was impeccable, it really spoke to and encouraged the students after listening to the setbacks you experienced and how you had to persevere and push through the challenges thrown your way.
Your team was very at ease with our students. The silks performer and magician in addition to your performance went above and beyond what we imagined. We cannot thank you enough and look forward to working with you on future endeavors!

My students and I had the privilege of having Ms. Paula  come to our school to speak during Teach In. During her presentation Ms. Paula spoke about following your dreams and the importance of hard work.

In the time since, my students continue to talk about Ms. Paula. The students wrote about what they wanted to do with their life and the steps they needed to take in order to achieve that goal.

Every other month we revisit our goals to see if any progress has been made. I am so thankful that my students were able to meet such an amazing person and hear such amazing stories of triumph over adversity.

Paula Blackwelder is an inspiration to all who are lucky enough to be in her presence. She finds ways to encourage and inspire even our most difficult personalities. She challenges them to reach goals they didn’t even know they had. We are truly blessed to have the privilege of working with Paula.

My husband and I were privileged enough to attend and enjoy a show given at Brigham Academy.

The height of the show was the performance by Ms. Paula Blackwelder. She explained that she had shattered her knee in a trampoline accident, and went through a long rehabilitation process. Watching her performance one would never have guessed she had ever been injured. Everyone was very impressed and excited with her grace and agility.

What we found most interesting was the message that was relayed between performances. Ms Blackwelder compared learning to do what they were doing with learning at school. There was a constant thread of encouragement, as well as a message to always strive to do and be your best, no matter what you choose to do in life. She compared the struggles and persistence necessary for success to what they might be experiencing in school right now.

I feel it was a positive experience for all who stopped to watch and listen. The performances were beautiful and impressive enough to catch the children's attention, so that the wonderful message could be conveyed.
